OUR SERVICES

Respite and Stabilization Child Care (RSCC) Supportive Services

Respite and Stabilization Child Care (RSCC)

RSCS is an amazing program, it's a Child Care Program that provides ABA Respite and Stabilization services to school-age children in a school setting.

ABA therapy, or Applied Behavior Analysis, is a type of therapy often used to help individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities learn new skills and reduce challenging behaviors. It utilizes principles of learning theory to promote positive behavior change through techniques like positive reinforcement.

Key aspects of ABA therapy:

  • Focus on positive reinforcement: ABA therapy emphasizes rewarding desired behaviors to encourage their repetition and discourage negative behaviors.
  • Individualized treatment plans: ABA programs are tailored to the specific needs and goals of each individual, ensuring a personalized approach.
  • Emphasis on skill development: ABA therapy helps individuals develop essential life skills, such as communication, social skills, and self-care, that can improve their overall quality of life.
  • Reduction of challenging behaviors: ABA therapy can help individuals learn alternative, more appropriate behaviors to replace challenging behaviors like self-harm or aggression.
  • Generalization of skills: ABA techniques aim to help individuals transfer newly learned skills from the therapy setting to other environments, such as home and school.

How ABA therapy works:

ABA therapy involves a structured approach where therapists work with individuals to:

  • Identify target behaviors: This involves pinpointing specific behaviors that need to be changed or skills that need to be developed.
  • Assess the function of behaviors: Understanding the reasons behind a behavior (e.g., seeking attention, escaping a task) helps therapists develop effective interventions.
  • Implement interventions: Therapists use techniques like prompting, reinforcement, and shaping to teach new skills and encourage desired behaviors.
  • Monitor progress: Regular data collection and analysis help track progress and make adjustments to the treatment plan as needed.

We provide respite services in a school Setting for Children with Autism and Behavioral Challenges. Our school-based respite program provides structured, supportive care for school-aged children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and behavioral challenges. Designed to offer relief to families and caregivers, these services take place in a familiar, educational environment that promotes stability and routine. The program emphasizes emotional regulation, social interaction, and adaptive coping strategies through individualized and group-based support. Staffed by trained professionals experienced in behavior intervention and special education, the service offers short-term relief while ensuring children continue to receive compassionate, developmentally appropriate care during school hours, after school, or during school break.

Our Stabilization program provides short-term, structured, and therapeutic support for school-aged children with autism and behavioral challenges who are experiencing heightened emotional or behavioral distress. These services are designed to:

  • Prevent out-of-home placements by supporting children in their current environments
  • Reduce crisis escalation through individualized behavior intervention and emotional regulation support
  • Support reintegration into school, home, and community settings with improved coping strategies
  • Empower families and caregivers with tools and resources to maintain a stable and supportive environment

Through a trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming approach, our trained staff deliver stabilization care in collaboration with schools, caregivers, and mental health providers to ensure consistency and continuity in the child's daily life.
